I can’t believe I’m actually doing this…

For those of you who don’t already know, I can’t resist a good bargain! Meaning sometimes I can spend a fair ain’t of my wages on things I don’t actually need. After doing some online research on money saving tips, I came across the 30 day no buy challenge. It sounds horrific and I’m definitely going to struggle but I feel it’ll be with it in the long run!

So you may be asking “Carrie, I’m extremely interested in the 30 day no buy challenge and would like to participate, please explain more?” And I will explain it to you. For 30 WHOLE days you can’t buy ANYTHING! Unless it’s a necessity. You want to make a budget for your rent, food costs, fuel, contracts, direct debits etc and put the rest away. So when that nice new lipstick finally goes on sale, you can’t even go there!

I think not only will this challenge be a massive pain in the ass, it’ll be kind of fun, so I’d definitely say I’m looking forward to it! You may think I’ve gone nuts but it’s more to prove to myself that I’m not a shopaholic (aren’t we all sometimes??!!).

If you’re interested in taking part in this challenge, let me know! Or if you’ve done something similar, I’d love to hear about it!

  1. I tried to do this in January in addition to Sober January. Both were a pretty pathetic fail on my part. But I loved the idea! Especially after having spent so much in December. I think doing this during a month when there aren’t any events or things you might miss out would be the easiest… but who really knows when that is. Good luck to you! I hope you do better than me!

    • Thank you for your comment! I’m gonna try my hardest. I know I’ll struggle but I bet it’s an awesome feeling at the end of it! I’m going to keep an online diary and publish it when the 30 days are up so you can all see how I got on šŸ™‚
