#2 My Weekend Haul

So I didn’t post last week and I have a very good explanation as to why! I had been at my parents all week as it was my birthday and I completely forgot to bring my laptop with me to post!!

But don’t worry, I used that time away from my blog to brain storm and jot down some new ideas!

So anyways, back to the post. After going out on the weekend (You can read the post here), I had a mini shopping haul at Superdrug and Tesco which I thought I would share with you all!

I’ll start with skincare first as that is pretty much the majority of my haul. I’m obsessed with skincare, even more so now I’m getting older! When I was younger (16/17) I don’t even think I moisturised! Whilst browsing Superdrug, I came across their Vitamin E range, which I honestly never even knew existed. So I decided I’d get some of the collection and came away with Their moisture boost serum, nourishing eye cream, hydrating mist, leave on moisture mask and the ¬†night cream. I’m so excited it all! I’ve tested a few of the bits and can safely say I’m in love with the hydrating mist.

Next up I saw that Garnier had some new moisturisers that were 1/3 off. There was a choice between honey, rose water and aloe vera. I absolutely love aloe vera so I decided to give it a whirl. What persuaded me to buy it was the fact that 96% of the ingredients are of natural origin with the last 4% being for preservation. I have tried this a few times and love it.

I don’t usually buy nail polish but decided I’d make a change and start so I can practice doing my nails more. I asked my Fiance to pick a colour and he decided on this lovely coral colour from Barry M. It’s from their Coconut Infusion line and, oh my God, there were so many pretty colours! I also got a base coat/top coat as mine dried up a while ago.

The Last product I got from Superdrug was medical tape. Need I explain more? who doesn’t have tape in their make up kits? ūüėõ

From Tesco I brought the Aloe Body Gel. I got badly sunburnt on my birthday and needed something to soothe the stinging, burning, itching and peeling and decided to give this a go as it said it moisturises calms and repairs. I ¬†brought the one at first and took it home and I loved it so much I went out the next day to get a bottle. It is honestly the best body moisturiser I’ve ever used!!

So that’s it guys!! I hope you’ve enjoyed my mini haul!

7 Day Post Challenge

All these challenges are coming about quite often now and I absolutely love doing them. I love doing them so much that I decided to create my own(forgive me if this idea has already been done)!

I sat for a while trying to figure out what I could do that would actually be a challenge for me and decided that I could do a post a day for seven days, as you should all know that I’m terrible at posting regularly.

So as of tomorrow I will be posting daily for seven days and I’m going to tag Emmimori to start it too.

The rules? there are none, just have fun! All you have to do is tag another blogger to pass it on!

Happy posting!!

Gosh Foundation Plus Review

I’ve been wanting to do this post for quite sometime now and am really happy that I’m finally doing it! I’m a bit of and purchased this on impulse as I had some spare dosh and wanted to try a GOSH product. This is the second product I’ve used by GOSH (the first being a lipstick) and I have to ask myself, why didn’t I buy it sooner!!?? The product I’m talking about is the Foundation Plus Cover and Conceal.

I purchased this beaut for ¬£9.99(and for the product your buying, I’d definitely say its worth it), and I’ve completely fallen in love with it. I really feel like GOSH don’t get the recognition they deserve as I’ve never see them in blog posts or YouTube videos. It comes in a cute, small squeezy bottle and you get 30ml or product which is about standard. It also gives medium to heavy coverage and is very buildable, it definitely lives up to the “cover and conceal” statement. It’s quite a creamy formula and I’d say is high quality!

What makes this one of my favourite foundations is that even though it gives medium to heavy coverage, it doesn’t stick to dry skin and doesn’t look cakey giving a semi-matte finish. I find that a small amount of product goes a long way and an added bonus is that it’s long lasting!!!

I’m looking forward to trying more products from GOSH and I really hope that one day I would get the opportunity of ¬†working with them in the future!

Thanks for reading! XOXOXO

Make Up Forever Lab Shine ¬¶Lip gloss Swatch and Review¬¶

Hi all!

I recently went to TX Maxx and came back with a few bargains (you can read the post here). Two of the products I purchased were the Make Up Forever Lab Shine Lip Gloss. I don’t usually buy lip gloss but when I saw what brand they were and the price (¬£4.99!!), I had to snatch them up.

I only used Make Up Forever once before, and that was a foundation which I absolutely fell in love with! Ever since I’ve always wanted to try more from this brand.

The formula of the lip glosses are great as they are very sticky and have long staying power. When applied they also come out very bright which I love. I’m not much of a gloss person as my hair, face and glasses always ends up covered in it, but these are well worth it.

The first colour I brought was this beauty peach shade (shade 203P) which is definitely going to be my go to Spring pick. It really caught my eye because of how shimmery it was and it goes with any make up look I do. Out of the two, I would definitely have to say that this is my favourite.

The next shade I brought was a dark red shade (shade 406). I love these sort of shades so I had to have it. The colour itself isn’t as dark as he tube, when applied it looks more of a dark cherry red. Regardless, it’s a beautiful colour and I absolutely love it.

What Make Up Forever products would you recommend? Thanks for reading!

Smoky Eye for Blue Eyes

My eyes are quite a bright shade of blue and I find that because of my dark circles, most smoky eye looks just make my tiredness look worse. But luckily, I know what colours go well with blue eyes so I can enjoy the smoky look just as much as the next person!

Here are the products I used:

Loreal Lumi Magique

Seventeen Phwoar Paint

Seventeen 18 Hour Stay Concealer

Make Up Revolution Ultra Sculpt and Contour Kit

Ben Nye Banana Powder

NYX Illuminator (in Ritualistic)

Inner Corner/middle – Silver loose eyeshadow (No labelling on the pot!)

Outer corner/middle/lower lashline outer corner Рgrey shimmery loose eyeshadow (No labelling on the pot!)

Outer v -Bourjois Eyeshadow La Palette Les Nudes (Darkest colour in palette)

Lower lashline inner corner РBourjois Eyeshadow La Palette Les Nudes РWhite

Rimmel Gel Liner

NYX Micro Brow Pencil

Make Up Forever Lab Shine Lip Gloss

I didn’t actually put any mascara on for this look as I wanted to go for a brown colour but mine had just ran out! I also stayed away from colours that were too dark so stuck to shimmery greys and silvers s they catch the light and help my eyes look a bit brighter.

I hope you like this look! Let me know if you’d like a step by step tutorial! Thanks for reading! x
