Soft Date Night Makeup

Hey everyone!

I went on a date the other night with my fiance, Kieron, and even though I wasn’t going to put much make up on, I used my new Revolution eye shadow palette and my new Revolution lip gloss.

I used my new E.L.F purchases for my face (you can read the post here) and set the make up with Rimmels Loose Powder in translucent. I used Revolution Duo Face Sculpt for the hollows of my cheeks, forehead and nose contouring. To highlight I used Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter  in Peach Lights.

For the eyes I used Revolution Flawless palette in 16G and I used the champagne colour on my lid and brow bone and a soft brown for my crease. I used Rimmel Scandal Eyes Curve Alert mascara (one of my favourites) and Soap and Glory Archery Brow for my eye brows.

For the lips I used the Revolution lip gloss from the ultra nude set, it was the middle shade.

I really liked this look as it was light and made me look a lot less tired as I’ve not been sleeping well recently. I’d like to set up a Youtube channel soon so I can film my tutorials! If you’d like to know how I did this look, comment below and I was make a post about it 🙂

Thanks for reading!

My, Those are some colourful balls!

No, not the balls you were probably thinking of (you dirty minded person! ;P) I mean the Avon CC Pearls!

I was a little bit doubtful when I purchased this product but seeing as I had tried a colour correcting concealer palette, I was really curious about trying it in pearl/powder form (also the fact that it was on sale for £6 probably played a part in it).

DSC_0399I can’t describe how amazing this product is! I honestly cant think of a negative thing about it. I’ll start off with the product itself.

It has 5 different coloured pearls, these are green, orange, purple and yellow. They’re all colour correcting (green for redness, orange for darkness). If I’m completely honest, I don’t actually know what all the colours are for. I know the green is for neutralizing redness, orange is for dark spots and  I think the gold is to highlight (3 out of 5 isn’t so bad!) They’re quite a nice texture too, though I will say i have often found myself crushing them between my fingers because it feels so satisfying! (please tell me I’m not the only person who does this!!!!)

On to the packaging. It’s pretty straightforward. It’s all black, which I like as it gives it a simplistic, sophisticated look, and all the writing is in white. It has a screw top lid and comes with a sponge inside to stop the balls from shaking about and becoming crushed. How thoughtful Avon!!!

Avon Haul

Hey guys! Here I have for you another mini haul. I brought a few bits from Avon recently as I love the, and their products. They do some good makeup for a decent price.

First up I decided to give their cream to powder foundation a go even though I don’t usually buy foundations I can’t try out before buying them. The one thing that really persuaded me was my sister had this foundation quite a while back and it look flawless on her face!

Next I got the Avon CC Pearls. I’ve used colour correcting concealer a before which work wonders on my face so I figured I’d give these a go and see what the outcome is.

Like foundations, if I’m unable to try a lipstick before I buy it, it’s very unlikely that I will actually buy it. I saw this lipstick was on offer so I decided to give it a go! I got it in their nude shade ‘Au Naturale’.

The last few bits I purchased were an eyeliner that came as a free gift, an angled double ended eyeliner brush and a duo sharpener.

Keep an eye out for reviews on these products :).

My February Favourites

I know this post is a little late but this is my first monthly favourites and I’m determined to get it posted! Honestly, I didn’t find it very difficult picking out my favourite things which I’ve found surprising as there’s a lot I’ve loved this month.

First up is the Cetaphil Moisturiser. I absolutely love this product. It contains no harsh chemicals which is a bonus and is very moisturising, which is perfect for my dry skin. It also has no scent which I like as most heavy moisturiser can smell medicated.

My next favourite is the Johnsons Hint of Tint. This product has really become my best friend over February as my skin really suffers when it’s cold and I’m more likely to break out. I’ve been using this during those times and its been really nice to give my skin a rest from foundation but still get a bit of coverage.

I’m loving the L’oreal True Match Powder. I actually have two of these as I like to keep one in my bag for on-the-go purposes. It applies like a beaut, is buildable and isn’t cakey.

I try not to use face wipes as I find they can be harsh on my skin but sometimes I just need that little bit more help removing my makeup in the evening. The Nivea Naturals face wipes are the best! They’re really soft and don’t leave my face feeling sore.

Last but not least is a book that I just couldn’t put down. I’m usually one for romantic books so I was quite surprised that I took an instant liking to ‘Feed’ by Mira Grant. I wasn’t as surprised when I found out there was zombies in it (I’m slightly obsessed with zombies). It was such a gripping book and the plot was excellent! I’d really recommend it all those out there searching for a great read!

My Mini Cosmetic Haul

Hi guys!

Sorry for the recent inactivity, not only has it been a busy weekend I’ve also been sick with the cold!!

Not so long ago, I went out and brought a few products and figured I’d share my purchases with you 🙂 It was quite a cheap shop as I do love a bargain 🙂

First up, I brought a new pair of false lashes as I seem to mislaid my favourite Eyelure pair. These only cost me 99p and look awesome! I haven’t tried them yet but when I do I’ll definitely be reviewing them.

Next up is Nailene super glue. I use this stuff all the time as I wear false nails a lot! It’s great and so handy to have, not only have I used it to glue my nails back on, I’ve also used it to fix the odd shoe or two!

Now on to the make up. I decided I’d try a brand I’ve not tried before so went for the pressed powder by Revolution. This only cost £3 so I’m super excited to try it to see how it looks.

Another product I purchased was the MUA Pro-Base. I’ve brought form MUA before, but only the odd lipstick or two (which were surprisingly good for £1!!!) so I decided I’d take the leap and buy a face product. This only cost me £3 so I’m looking forward to trying it as I was looking for something like this and was considering a more expensive alternative. It has different coloured concealers to be used to conceal different parts of your face (green for redness, orange for dark circles etc).

I brought this concealer by Revolution as it claimed to be a dupe but didn’t say or which product. When I took the lid off to see if I could guess which product, it was clear to see that it was a dupe of Benefits Fake-up so I decided that for £3, I’d snap it up straight away to see if it was any good or not. I’m really excited to see if this is a perfect dupe as then I’d only have to pay £3 instead of the usual £21!!

Last but not least, I have a mascara by Revolution called The Viper. I don’t usually buy mascaras as I’m really fussy about them so I’m curious to see how good this one is for only £2!
