Superdrug Bargins! |B. Haul and Swatch|

Hey guys!

I was planning on starting this post on a happy note, but I’ve had such a terrible day today. I feel like complete poop so I’m sat here on my sofa, wine gums and midget gems to my left and a spiced rum and lemonade to my right and Lee Evans on TV. I’ve just got to keep telling myself, “it’s just a bad day, not a bad life” and I’ll be just fine.

Over the weekend, I took a trip into Canterbury again with Kieron and we quickly popped into Superdrug. I wasn’t planning on buying anything in there but when I saw that the B. range was in clearance I just couldn’t resist!!

I brought more than what I’m showing in this haul bescause I have lost some of the products (crazy!!) so once I find them, I’ll post about them :).

First of all, I brought these awesome eye shadows. At first, I thought they were like a dust or pressed, but then I realised after swatching them, the texture is more like a paste (I cant think of the word for now, let me know in the comments below if you know what I mean). The shades I brought were a lovely coppery shade and a shade that looks almost gunmetal grey. I really think they compliment each other so they’ll be good to use with one another.

I also found that they were very pigmented. Like REALLY pigmented!! I didn’t have to put much on my fingertip to get the amount I did for the swatch, I was really impressed with this as it seems a little goes a long way.

Last but not least, the longevity. I didn’t wear these swatches for long, but when it came to taking it off, it took a lot! I used a Nivea Waterproof makeup wipe and it took a lot of effort to get it off!!

The best part? These eye shadows were 49p EACH!!!!

The next item I brought was this gorgeous lip gloss! unfortunately, I ran out of time when checking out my new purchases so I couldn’t swatch it but when I do, I’ll post it on Instagram so make sure you’re following me! You can do it here!

Back to the gloss… I’m really excited to try this colour out as it’s a gorgeous glittery peach shade and looks perfect for a summer look which I will be working on next πŸ™‚ This gloss cost Β£1.99 which is amazing! I think I brought another but it’s with the missing make up, either that or I gave it to my mum and forgot πŸ˜›

I hope you enjoyed this post! I find I’ve been doing a lot more blogs recently so I’m hoping to change it up by working on tutorials as I’ve finally got my new phone so I can take good quality pictures πŸ™‚

My, Those are some colourful balls!

No, not the balls you were probably thinking of (you dirty minded person! ;P) I mean the Avon CC Pearls!

I was a little bit doubtful when I purchased this product but seeing as I had tried a colour correcting concealer palette, I was really curious about trying it in pearl/powder form (also the fact that it was on sale for Β£6 probably played a part in it).

DSC_0399I can’t describe how amazing this product is! I honestly cant think of a negative thing about it. I’ll start off with the product itself.

It has 5 different coloured pearls, these are green, orange, purple and yellow. They’re all colour correcting (green for redness, orange for darkness). If I’m completely honest, I don’t actually know what all the colours are for. I know the green is for neutralizing redness, orange is for dark spots and Β I think the gold is to highlight (3 out of 5 isn’t so bad!) They’re quite a nice texture too, though I will say i have often found myself crushing them between my fingers because it feels so satisfying! (please tell me I’m not the only person who does this!!!!)

On to the packaging. It’s pretty straightforward. It’s all black, which I like as it gives it a simplistic, sophisticated look, and all the writing is in white. It has a screw top lid and comes with a sponge inside to stop the balls from shaking about and becoming crushed. How thoughtful Avon!!!

Avon Haul

Hey guys! Here I have for you another mini haul. I brought a few bits from Avon recently as I love the, and their products. They do some good makeup for a decent price.

First up I decided to give their cream to powder foundation a go even though I don’t usually buy foundations I can’t try out before buying them. The one thing that really persuaded me was my sister had this foundation quite a while back and it look flawless on her face!

Next I got the Avon CC Pearls. I’ve used colour correcting concealer a before which work wonders on my face so I figured I’d give these a go and see what the outcome is.

Like foundations, if I’m unable to try a lipstick before I buy it, it’s very unlikely that I will actually buy it. I saw this lipstick was on offer so I decided to give it a go! I got it in their nude shade ‘Au Naturale’.

The last few bits I purchased were an eyeliner that came as a free gift, an angled double ended eyeliner brush and a duo sharpener.

Keep an eye out for reviews on these products :).

Nail Polish for Valentines <3

Hi all!

So my mum came to me yesterday and asked if she could borrow a nail polish for valentines day. I got out my collection and we went through it together picking out colours that would suit the occasion. We ended up with 6 different colours to choose from, so I figured I’d share them with you all!

In all there were six different colours and none of them were really the same either! They ranged from pretty pinks to a smoky petrol colour.

First up is Rimmels 60 second in Princess Pink. This is a soft elegant shade of pink and suits those who like the delicate sorts of colours. It does what it says and dries fast. I was absolutely obsessed with this polish when I first got it as it was perfect to wear everyday!

Next up is the same brand, but in Rapid Beauty. This is such a gorgeous and romantic shade of red and I’d say its got more of a wine shade to it. I love wearing this on nights out as I can match it to any outfit :).

Next on my list Β is a polish by Barry M. I absolutely love this brand and I have so many different colours! This one doesn’t actually have a name for the shade, but it’s one of the textured types. The colour may look similar to the Princess Pink by Rimmel but this shade is more pink whereas the Princess Pink has a peachy undertone to it. I love this nail polish, when I first got it, i didn’t realise I had brought a textured one so was quite shocked when it dried. But after I realised, I quite liked the look and feel of the texture to it.

Another Barry M Shade I have is called Duchess and I would have to say that it is my all-time favorite nail polish. Its the most gorgeous glittery brown colour I have ever seen and when it dried textured (it’s another from the textured effect line) it felt like I had lots of tiny gems on my nails. When I glossed it over, it was so glittery I received quite a few compliments on it. I would recommend this polish to anyone and everyone! It’s perfect for every occasion, especially Valentines day.

Next up is a polish by a brand called Yes Love. I’ve never heard of this brand and I brought it when I was out in Majorca. When it is applied, glossed over and the light hits it, its the most incredible petrol colour with a hint of red. The perfect sort of colour for those who prefer darker shades. This colour doesn’t have a name, but I’d be more than happy to find out more about it if anyone would like to know πŸ™‚

Last but not least, I have a high end nail polish. This one is by Lancome, and again like the previous polish, this one doesn’t have a name but I would be more than happy to look into it if anyone would like to know. This is another shade of pink, but more of a hot pink and is absolutely lovely! It applies really well and when glossed over, looks absolutely fantastic! This colour is perfect for those who prefer bolder shades.

I hope you enjoyed this post and if you would like anymore information of any of these products, comment below :).

Much love,

Hi guys!

Here is my second valentines look and I hope you like it. I went for a more sexy approach with this one and focused on using browns as they go with any skin tone and eye colour. It was quite a quick look and looks bolder off camera πŸ™‚
