Canterbury Beauty Haul

Hey my lovelies and welcome to my blog!

To celebrate getting a new job recently, I thought I’d treat myself to a few beauty bits (lame excuse to shop but it was the best I could come up with) and so I thought I would share my buys with you all!

bdr

I’m currently on the hunt for a safe tooth whitening product that actually works (I’ve tried a fair few) and came across this activated charcoal in Boots. This cost £9.99 so I hope I see some sort of difference. I’m going to try this product for a few weeks then review it and let you all know how I got on with it.

I’ve been looking for a stick foundation for quite a while now and was really happy to see that Lottie has brought one out. I’ve fallen in love with their brushes, I’m really excited to try their makeup too! This product cost £7.95.

Since E.L.F have come to Superdrug, I’ve gone absolutely mad on their products and have brought so much over the past few weeks! I decided I’d try their eyeliner as my Illamasqua liquid liner has gone walkabouts and I was desperate for a replacement that wasn’t the cheap 99p liner I brought from my local pound shop that stings my eyes like mad! I went for a pen type liner and it cost £4.50 which is a steal!!!!

Another E.L.F product I got was a 3-in-1 mascara. I’m very fussy with mascara as I absolutely HATE clumpy lashes. I didn’t use it on myself, I used it on my sister-in-law (I know your not meant to share wands, but I really don’t mind as it’s her) and her lashes looked absolutely incredible! I cant wait to use it for myself! Again this cost me £4.50 which is absolute amazing.

I recently watched a Facebook video of 3-4 women testing out concealers that were raved about and this was one of them. They all rated it 4-5 out of 5 and I think it was one of the cheapest products they tried so I had to give it a go for myself. I have terrible dark circles so I’m currently working on a post on how I cover them up and having already tried this product once (in the car after I brought it) I think it’ll definitely become part of my routine! This product cost £7 and So far I absolutely love it!

bty

I’m definitely going mad on NYX as I also brought their Finishing Spray. There was a choice between dewy and matte and I went for dewy as I absolutely love that glowing, fresh look. This was £7 from Boots and so far, I’m in love with it!

bty

I love a bit of Soap and Glory and was determined to buy a product from them! I decided on this green concealer at £8 as my old one went missing and dayum is it creamy!!! It blends like a dream, I honestly couldn’t be more impressed!

I’m really pleased with my purchases so I’d definitely like to review them for you after testing them out properly. I hope you enjoyed my posts! What are your current fave products? Let me know below 🙂

Much Love

Superdrug Bargins! |B. Haul and Swatch|

Hey guys!

I was planning on starting this post on a happy note, but I’ve had such a terrible day today. I feel like complete poop so I’m sat here on my sofa, wine gums and midget gems to my left and a spiced rum and lemonade to my right and Lee Evans on TV. I’ve just got to keep telling myself, “it’s just a bad day, not a bad life” and I’ll be just fine.

Over the weekend, I took a trip into Canterbury again with Kieron and we quickly popped into Superdrug. I wasn’t planning on buying anything in there but when I saw that the B. range was in clearance I just couldn’t resist!!

I brought more than what I’m showing in this haul bescause I have lost some of the products (crazy!!) so once I find them, I’ll post about them :).

First of all, I brought these awesome eye shadows. At first, I thought they were like a dust or pressed, but then I realised after swatching them, the texture is more like a paste (I cant think of the word for now, let me know in the comments below if you know what I mean). The shades I brought were a lovely coppery shade and a shade that looks almost gunmetal grey. I really think they compliment each other so they’ll be good to use with one another.

I also found that they were very pigmented. Like REALLY pigmented!! I didn’t have to put much on my fingertip to get the amount I did for the swatch, I was really impressed with this as it seems a little goes a long way.

Last but not least, the longevity. I didn’t wear these swatches for long, but when it came to taking it off, it took a lot! I used a Nivea Waterproof makeup wipe and it took a lot of effort to get it off!!

The best part? These eye shadows were 49p EACH!!!!

The next item I brought was this gorgeous lip gloss! unfortunately, I ran out of time when checking out my new purchases so I couldn’t swatch it but when I do, I’ll post it on Instagram so make sure you’re following me! You can do it here!

Back to the gloss… I’m really excited to try this colour out as it’s a gorgeous glittery peach shade and looks perfect for a summer look which I will be working on next 🙂 This gloss cost £1.99 which is amazing! I think I brought another but it’s with the missing make up, either that or I gave it to my mum and forgot 😛

I hope you enjoyed this post! I find I’ve been doing a lot more blogs recently so I’m hoping to change it up by working on tutorials as I’ve finally got my new phone so I can take good quality pictures 🙂

E.L.F Review and Swatches

I feel like I havent posted in ages even though it’s only been a bit over a week! The reason is because I got a new job! It was my first week last week and I absolutely love it! I guess I’m going to have to find a routine so I can go to work, gym then blog as I seem to struggle doing all three at the moment!

Back to the blog 😛

E.L.F has finally come to the UK! I’m probably a little behind but as soon as I found out, I rushed out to my closest Superdrug and grabbed a few products. As you all know, I’m a huge fan of foundations so I only brought a foundation, primer and concealer.

The first product I picked up was the tone adjusting face primer. There was no tester on this and there were so many to choose from so I was literally going on my own instinct. When I got home to try it, I was pleasantly surprised with a gorgeous smoothing texture that makes my face feel so matte! This cost £9.00 which is roughly what I would pay and I have to say, you’re definitely getting your moneys worth!

Next Is the foundation and I went for the Foundation Serum. I wasn’t sure which to go with at first and had my heart set on this one even though it looked slightly too dark in the bottle (again no tester). This product cost £9 and I’m so happy I went ahead with it. I’t looked dark on the bottle, but it is the perfect shade for my skin tone. It feels very smoothing and like it says on the bottle, it’s a serum. I’d say it has light to medium coverage but could definitely be buildable!

Last up is the HD Lifting Concealer. I LOVE Concealers and I was really impressed with the formula of this one! The only thing I was disappointed with was the fact you had a choice of three shades which are fair, medium and dark and there were no testers. I went for fair and when I tried it on my skin at home it was slightly too dark, so I wouldn’t recommend it for building. It does make a great under eye concealer as it is slightly orange toned.

Overall I’m really pleased with my first E.L.F products and am definitely going back for more!

What’s your favourite E.L.F products and which would you recommend?

#2 My Weekend Haul

So I didn’t post last week and I have a very good explanation as to why! I had been at my parents all week as it was my birthday and I completely forgot to bring my laptop with me to post!!

But don’t worry, I used that time away from my blog to brain storm and jot down some new ideas!

So anyways, back to the post. After going out on the weekend (You can read the post here), I had a mini shopping haul at Superdrug and Tesco which I thought I would share with you all!

I’ll start with skincare first as that is pretty much the majority of my haul. I’m obsessed with skincare, even more so now I’m getting older! When I was younger (16/17) I don’t even think I moisturised! Whilst browsing Superdrug, I came across their Vitamin E range, which I honestly never even knew existed. So I decided I’d get some of the collection and came away with Their moisture boost serum, nourishing eye cream, hydrating mist, leave on moisture mask and the  night cream. I’m so excited it all! I’ve tested a few of the bits and can safely say I’m in love with the hydrating mist.

Next up I saw that Garnier had some new moisturisers that were 1/3 off. There was a choice between honey, rose water and aloe vera. I absolutely love aloe vera so I decided to give it a whirl. What persuaded me to buy it was the fact that 96% of the ingredients are of natural origin with the last 4% being for preservation. I have tried this a few times and love it.

I don’t usually buy nail polish but decided I’d make a change and start so I can practice doing my nails more. I asked my Fiance to pick a colour and he decided on this lovely coral colour from Barry M. It’s from their Coconut Infusion line and, oh my God, there were so many pretty colours! I also got a base coat/top coat as mine dried up a while ago.

The Last product I got from Superdrug was medical tape. Need I explain more? who doesn’t have tape in their make up kits? 😛

From Tesco I brought the Aloe Body Gel. I got badly sunburnt on my birthday and needed something to soothe the stinging, burning, itching and peeling and decided to give this a go as it said it moisturises calms and repairs. I  brought the one at first and took it home and I loved it so much I went out the next day to get a bottle. It is honestly the best body moisturiser I’ve ever used!!

So that’s it guys!! I hope you’ve enjoyed my mini haul!
